A good friend of mine is a test farm for case so i have seen a couple of different machines like a 2388 which had a juiced up engine and the production model will be called 2399 they also tested a machine that they call the CBX 600 hp version of a 2388 also seen a prototype of A NH with one rotor instead of 2 they have also played with a common platform combine which would be the same machine for both Colors you would be able to change it from 1 rotor to 2 or change it to conventional walker combine CNH talked about 40 to 50 new products coming out in the next 2 years for the AG and CE divisons case says their combine will be out shortly after the NH which will be in the this year

hey, I notice all these people talking about this 600 hp. combine, and in my mind what good would they beIJ I mean they don't even make tractors that big, much less a combine. I think it would lead to tearing up parts on the machine and lots of other problems.

I agree with you customcombiner. I think the companies say 600hp to get the attention of the farmer, and so that it looks like the combine will have more power to unload on the go and side hill power as well.

My local dealer said he heard about the new large combine at this year's company meeting. It supposedly will have triple drive tires, 465bu stand tank, the ability to tow its own grain cart, and handle either a 12 or 16 row cornhead. It is meant to compete directly with Caterpillar's big gun.

Whatever! The only thing JD has over NH is n of dealers. THATS IT! Their not as reliable, don't have the capacity, and now cause they flooded the market their resale value went down the drain!

How can you say that NH is a better combine than John Deere. We own both a STS and a 9600, my dad is on good terms with our local NH dealer so when we needed an extra we tried a TR 98 with a 30 foot flex. While it was running it could keep with our deere's but it had several problems during the week we ran it in soybeans. Also it had to start a hour later and quit an hour early because it was tough. Then when we got into food grade soys we did several soak tests to see any mechanical damage. In the end we had to move the 98 to another field. By the way Deere won't have more dealers soon since NH and Case IH merged. That just shows how stable they are.
