4 farm, Replace reverse bars with low foward bars, you can go up to four on the discharge end and four in the middle for corn and beans.Make sure and install the extended cyclinder bars (4 all the way},and extended helicials.Everyother rod out of the concave,no wedge(drop the backend down same as the front) on corn.On the seperator grate for corn and beans remove everyother rod or we prefer to cut everyother crossbar loose and drive down the rods and weld to the next the bar. When you cut the cross bars leave all the rods in.Add another F rasp or reverse cylinder bar bolted to the front edge of the grate if rotor looses over1_3 bpa.Send the injection pump in to midwest diesel at Ft. Dodge Ia.,have lee set it at hyper specs.(he could exchange for quicker turn around). let us know how she performs. Hyper

I have 4 low bars coming from Estes Mfg. to replace my 4 reverse bars. Is that enough and where is the best place to put them, all 4 on discharge side or 2 there other 2 in the middleIJ I had the pump worked on a couple years ago and was a vast improvement. I bought the machine from an insurance after it had burnt and had some guys in Michigan who specialize in Deutz engines rebuild the motor, but the pump was never set right according to the guy who reworked it for me. It uses a little more fuel now but has much better power. I still think I would like to try a 52 with a Cummins. I've rebuilt a couple burnt 1680's with Cummins and was really impressed with the power.

4farms, The low bars slow and flip the material. Cobb breakup and power consumption is much less. With just four total low bars I'd put two in the middle and two towards the end.The fewer low bars the faster the speed of the material through the cage. Our goal is to be positive with just the right mix of speed and clearence.I think you'll be alright, just make sure you remove everyother rod from the concave and do the grate upgrade. If rotor losses are high bolt two of your left over reverse bars to the seperateing grate or add four more low bars.Cut the front six rows of the top chaffer loose add a third control handle and run them 1_4 inch further open.Fuel useage and capacity should improve greatly. Good luck! Hyper
