Yes, all drills for IH by IH were made in Hamilton, Ontario. This plant was closed in the last few years by Case-IH. I know it was original plant for Drills, Windrowers, Manure Spreaders, small combines, pull and self propelled, some cylo planters at one time. Also some tillage for a while, 490 disk, 45_4500 field conditioners, 645 vibra chisels, It is kind of hard to follow. Drills now are FOB Fargo, ND.

They are great drills but beware of buying the tilt wheel end wheel model. There was nothing better for listed beds but I haven't found anyone to source the drive chains. The book now says use standard 2050 chain. Not a chance in Hades that that will work. The drill will throw chain off faster than you can put it on. With the original drive chain it was great.

I would think that CASE IH would have the correct drive chains to fit them. Thanks for the followup

So the 510 must have come out around 1970 that design is a fine one it still exists in production now with the the designation of 5300 model I don't imagine there is much difference if any in the 510, 5100, 5300 drills.

I don't think they are being built in Fargo anymore since CNH closed the Concord plant last summer. I'm not sure, but I suspect they are being built up in Canada again, this time at the Flexi-Coil plant in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. That is where the 1200 CaseIH planter is built now, along with CaseIH's air seeders.

I did not know that they closed the concord seeding equipment plant. That is interesting it is hard to keep up with things like that. Thanks for the information.

The 10, 510, 5100 were all built at the Hillyard street and Sherman avenue plant in Hamilton, Ontario. The 5300 drills were built there up to 1998 when Case IH closed Hamilton due to being unable to negotiate the unions down on wages in order to compete. Fargo, North Dakota 5300 drills (built in the Concorde plant) showed up in 2000 and 2001. With the merger with CNH the Concorde products were transferred to the Flexi-Coil plant in Saskatoon, Sasketchewan due to lower manufacturing costs at Saskatoon. For this year the 5300's will be coming from Saskatoon.
