Check out a loewen air foil chaffer. It weighs less so you have less weight to start and stop each stroke and it cost a lot less than an CIH chaffer.

I like the loewen Adjustable Airfoil real well. Wouldn't want to give it up. love the handles with discrete adjustments. We have that style lower sieve also.

I would go with the OEM CaseIH chaffer. We had a loewen adjustable for awhile, but the fact that it is lighter means that it is not as strong and it kept breaking in the middle of the back, even with all new bushings, etc. The tubing across the back of the OEM is approximately 1" x 2" x 3_16", while the loewen is only 1" x 1" x 1_8". Our Case chaffer is holding strong.

Was asking around the neighbours and everyone thats run the 1680-2388 have broken the factory chaffer maybe the case ones are the weak link. Needless to say time was the deciding factor and we went with a new case chaffer $1540cdn friggin dollars.

After using a Gordon Air-Jet chaffer I would never use a finger sieve again. Cleanest samples I ever saw. Used it in wheat, corn, beans, small vegetable seeds with the appropriat screen pan. Made of stainless steel....strong yet light. Remove trays in 5 minutes. You'll never have one come apart. Got it from my Case Dealer or order direct from Gordon.
