Combines Which Gleaner is Best for MeIJ

Any of the Gleaners from the F2 on up depending on where you live will harvest your acres. But with the price of the N5 as low as they have gotten and spoiled by the Rotary myself. I would say to look for the late N5 or N6 (the AMBAC pump) or the smaller R series combines. I had an F and an M2 before going rotary and I will never go back.

Good suggestions. After having a rotary I would also not be willing to go back to a conventional. My R60 is a bit of overkill for 400 acres but when buying used machinery you have to take what is available at the time. Tom in MN

Only harvest about 300 acres of corn and soybeans and within the last 4 years we went from a F2 to a R40 with 800 hours on it and made a few mods which made it is a nice running combine. Diffence is like night and day. Don't think we will ever go back to a conventional. love the sound of that air cooled engine.
