Both were good heads. The 200 series didn't offer the plastic reel fingers, auto reel. They are basically the same head, the 900 series offered a few more perks. If the 200 is in good shape, good skids, poly, stainless steel seals, priced right...go for it.

We have run a 220 for 4 years with no problems at all. It cuts great. If you stay with the wooden reel then there are plastic reel teeth that you can buy for it. Otherwise pipe reel kits (with plastic fingers) are reasonably priced. The plastic is nice because if you do happen to get the reel into the sickle then they just get chopped off with no damage to the sickle. If you have alot of rocks in your area then I would suggest plastic auger fingers as well. It should also have the long dividers and stainless steel floor. The first year we ran ours it had the regular floor but the next year we installed the stainless. It feeds much better now. Poly skids isnt a necessity but we plan to add that to ours next year since it is getting worn. Overall I think you will be much better off with the 220 financially even if you put some work into it. They are an excellent header and I dont really think the additional cost of the 920 is worth it.

yes i agree on the 200 series we have run a 213 flex for about 15 years or so now really like it... we still have lots of the steel reel tines. they are a problem as we have rocks and when the flex knife rides up on rocks the steel tines go into the knives and often tear them off... we don't have a stainless floor i paint plenty of used diesel engine oil on the knife and floor at the end of the season and it shines up pretty fast the next year -Mark in canada.
