Paul, I use 90w in the transmission and final drives. Type F transmission fluid in the hydrostat. "75 fluid" (co-op product) in the hydraulic system. I use the same 75 fluid in the trans_hydraulic in all my other tractors. Did you get your glass fuel filters installedIJ (Ranger Ted)

I think after seeing that the combine already had the metal fuel filters on I am going to save the glass ones for use on the 4630. Will get metal ones next time I am at the dealer...just to be safe. Thanks!

I would suggest you find a new dealer. The final drives should use 85-140 Gl5. Transmission uses Hy-Gard. Hydrostat uses low-Vis Hy-gard. The hydrostat and hydraulic systems are 2 seperate systems on your combine. They don't share the same fluid. I can't imagine why a dealer would have such mis-informed employees.

Thank you! I was going to do all the fluid changes this weekend. I knew something just didn't sound quite right-and the guy at the counter just looked at the book too fast before he gave me an answer. Very disappointing.

Re the filters - the glass ones are not strong enough. Forgot and used two once on my 7720, one cracked. Could have been worse I guess, could have exploded!
