TX is not a rotor threshing so it is hard to compare to a STS.I'd go with a TR. True your 860 was great, but a lot of new technology is in the new combines. If you want reasons I can give 'em!
Stick to you know whats best. I would go for the new holland for many reasons they easy to work on unlike JD's which are a b**** to work on they easy to operate parts can be got hold of fairly quickly and fairly reliable.
This is an easy one, go with the yellow machine. Ten years ago the tx model combine was ten years ahead of where the competition is today. Big Power, Big capacity, never ending list of technological advanced features, make this a no brainer decision!
No question, the STS. Everybody but the stubborn ones say it's the best machine in the field. Plus the John Deere parts and service is second to none. If you've never had a Deere...you'd be amazed by this. (Plus the New Hollands are going to be outdated very, very soon!)
