180 pto hp from a 3208 Cat V8, non-turbo. No powershift. This was the only White 4wd to not have either the 3 speed Over_Under powershift or the 4 speed in the later 4-270. Still an early unit, one of the first White 4 wds. Can be some problems with single steering cylinders. Maybe this one has been updated to twoIJIJ That would be better. Otherwise, a very sound tractor. Those early 3208s required rod bearings every 3000 hours. Might check into that in the tractor's history. Very sound transmission and final drives.

look around a little bit first, 4-180's were a good tractor but the lack of the power shift is a serious drawback sometimes. Our 4-150 would normally outwork the neighbors 4-180 because of the powershift ours had and he didn't. If you could find a 4-175 or 4-210 it would be a better investment. Improvements are two many to list, but the main one is the heavier center pivot and steering assembly on the newer tractors.

I would say not to buy it. We just sold ours because it was a gutless fuel hog. Bought Case IH STX 275 with duals and will outpull our other 4-270 any day with the STX in a mudhole!

Hey minneola13 you said you have a 270 also that has the 3306 cat IJ That is what I have in my challenger just wondering if the case tractor can outpull because of traction or power or both thanks

Hello I was wondering where in Montana this sale was atIJ I know a lot of people don't like the 3208 but it isn't that bad of a a engine. I have one that I use as a seeding tractor pull 40foot of 9400 John Deere drills. Cheap power have a good one Dirt Farmer
