Combines White 9720 vs MF 8590

They are identical machines, with the 8590 just being a rebadged 9720 after massey bought out white.

Do you have any "inside" knowledge on these combinesIJ I know where there is an 8590 AND a 9720, both for sale, however the 9720 is in far better shape with less hours and a $10,000 lower price. Would I be wasting capacity pushing a mere 6-row cornhead in 160 bushel cornIJ

I think the 9720 has more hp than the MF. Nieghbour had a MF and it was way under power compared to our White.

Hey are you harvesting their yet and what are you doing on the MF chat site or did the 2188 go for a good 860 ha ha. We are still in Gettysburg just about done here but slow going. You got lots of work lined up there. Happy Harvesting

No, still got the 2188, the 9720 is just it's sidekick. Probably going to cut canola on Monday and barley won't be far behind after that. Some early barley in the valley is cut already. But got some frost last night; temps ranging from -1 C to -5 C. We'll be able to see how bad the damage is in the next couple of days. Some custom work lined up (our regular customers) but with a late harvest coming we could get more. Hope everything is going great and probably see you around when you get back here.
