I agree but after traveling around the west and seeing all those 20 yr. old combines and tractors still running everyday I just don't understand how we at home havemade it all this time. I bet that there is not a handfull of 10+ year old tractors running in this county. EVERY farmer in this area thinks he has to have new equipment. You have to look real hard to find a 8820 in the field. Only a few of the black farmers have any older machines and they don't cut enough to amount to anything. It really troubles me why farmers think this. I enjoy messing with old stuff. Its more of a hobby but I still use them on the farm. Another thing that bothers me is why every farmer in my area has to have a 4020. It ain't that good a tractor for the price some of them are going for. But its their money!

I have noticed the same thing. The bottom is dropping out of the used combine market on these larger machines. If you have been watching the used 9610's they are taking it in the shorts. Know a dealer that has 3 9610's with about 600 sep hours, rwa, 8 row poly head and 930 platform that would probably sell any of the packages for 105,000. Pretty cheap

about them wanting a 4020 ! why wouldn't anybody want one they are still the best tractor EVER made ! and around here they still bring more then anything else !
