An 860 can handle a 1183 cornhead which weigh 5700lbs. So it should handle the Honeybee- Joe

Snipe, as far as i am concerned an 860 massey has a better built feederhouse than any of the new machines on the market today, if a 1600-2300 international feeder house can handle one, the 860 for sure will. keep an eye on the final drives and good luck! brad

There should be an accumulator already installed in series connection with the lift hydraulics. Intent is to cushion pressure surges when machine drops into those big ol' badger holes an d the table wants to "leave the machine". With the draper hydraulic drive you may have to improve the hydraulic pump and cooling arrangement as the original hydraulics allowed for hydraulic drive on reels or pickup only, adding the draper drive will cause overheating. Check with Charlie Smith at Combine World in Allen, Sask, he has most of the answers on this stuff.

Addition lift cylinders can be installed and I believe are necessary on some 860's to handle certain weights. The operatators and techinal manuals list the requirements. Early 850's and 860's did not have an accumulator installed. Kits were available. I still have some of these kits. They are adjustable and smooth out the hydraulic shock on the heads and valves thereby reducing breakdowns and especially work well with floating grain heads.
