Just looked into the back of the combine again and noticed the chaffer mount doesn't have a cap across the front, that was the shoe. I will assume the angle iron has to mount to the chaffer sieve and the rubber is screwed to that. I would still like to understand the position of the rubber and the dimensionsIJIJIJIJ Thanks again.....

Hi Dave, I simply bolted a 2"x2" angle iron across the front of the chaffer with the angle sticking up. Make sure the angle iron is about 1_2" narrower on each side of the chaffer frame. I then bolted a strip of 8" round baler belting to the angle iron. As you reinstall the chaffer the belt will contact the fingers and then the grain pan effectively sealing the gap between the pan and the chaffer. Grain can't fall forward into the fan housing and air has to blow through the cleaning shoe. I'm on my second season with this set up and have had no more problems with grain in fan housing. Good luck! Derek

Thanks djack, I think I finally figured out what you did. I can be a slow learner at times. When you said "touch the fingers" I was thinking the fingers of the bottom sieve. But you are refering to the fingers on the back of the grain pan. I was only off by 180 deg. Thanks again.
