Simply unplug the wire from the seat and use a another wire to close the connection and complete the circuit.

I have a ten pound weight in the cab of my R42 that I set on the seat when I want to keep the machine going. That's all it takes to keep the switch activated.

Features like that are a royal PITA but they are there for a reason ....put up with the inconvenience and be happy that you are much less likely to become the topic of a newspaper article someday.

Well he asked, and I told. Thanks for tacking on the disclaimer. I guess I should have done that. I hear you loud and clear about the accidents. Isn't this line of work, for lack of a better way to word it, the most "accident prone"_unsafeIJ Something to that effect. Call me old fashioned, but we felt a little more at home with the seat switch bypassed when we made the move up from our F series to our technology packed R-40 last year. I guess the previous owner decided to bypass it also as it was that way when we got it. Take it easy and have a good and safe day.

I too have been wondering about the safety switch. I like the idea, but it cause problems. I think the brick may come in handy. I away like to start combine then walk around listening for any problems. We also do it a couple times a day while dumping grain stopped to pickup coffee or lunch. Agro seems to forget that it only takes a clutch failure at the wrong time and all the safely features mean nothing, if the engine is running. It is hard to wait 5-10min to turn off engine, just to pick something off table, but it always gives me an uncomfortable feeling.
