Combines Wireing up a Bycool

You can run a wire to the BIG wire from the battery under the RH console. Either that or go straight to the + batt post. Do not attach to any other wire as the motors pull some amps. n10 wire. This will require turning off the Bycool even after the switch is turned off, but it is the way to do it.

Thanks tbran I should be able to find the correct wire and do this myself I see what you mean attaching it to another wire could lead to sure failure in a hurry. BTW I discovered yesterday that Bycool has sold out here is their new site they are now in Spain I emailed them and they are not familar with the RC model so it looks like parts for them are going to become obsolete. I will post a link to the new Bycool site they said that they dont sell them in the USA though.

Thanks for the link, We used to sell a bunch of those and they worked well even in the south. Evaporative cooling works best in low humidity however. These were much better than AC's on older model machines we used to sell.

Yes I was always told that they work best in low humidity and after thinking about it I can see how that would be as humid air isn't going to evaaporate water nearly as fast. here in OK most of the time the air is fairly dry at harvest most years.

How would this setup work in MichiganIJ We use some ole' F Gleaners on some specialty crops and didn't want to retrofit for A_C and thought this might work. let me know if they work good in these climates.

If you have fairly dry air when you would be useing it they should work pretty well. I know down in this part of the country "Southern plains" they are very common on older combines and some tractors they are better than just a fan and are far cheaper and simpler to maintain than an AC unit and to me they are the only way to go on an older machine like this one of mine that I am putting the cab on. I will have to tell you how well it works I will find out very soon.
