Your straw walkers tighten and run on 2 wooden blocks that are held together with bolts. it is basically 2 wooden pieces that surrounds the shaft. your wooden pieces may be worn making the hole bigger and making your walker loose. Dont let it go too long because we have had a walker decide to crawl on top of the other one and that really bends the shaft.. Good luck

You can get under the straw walkers easy by lowering the shaker pan partway and supporting it about 3 feet high on the rear of shaker pan, This gives you enough room to lay under the walkers and work.
