Check the width between stripper plates, it should be slightly wider at the rear, so it will open up as it goes to the rear and let stalk pull through.

I think Trent has the right idea, I've seen a small ear of corn go down and wedge itself in the stripper plates not letting the corn stalks pull through. I would check the size of your corn stalks to the width in between your stripper plates. Curt

240 corn heads had a spring loaded snap roll,one side was able to open up but pushed back by 2 springs... springs are either broke,full of dirt,snap roll stuck-froze open or you need to weld a plate to back of rolls so stalks can't get into rollers at top of blade sets and open rolls. the rolls should be tight at top end at all times. also might have to speed up corn head to take stalks that we have today.stripper plates are also the most overlooked problem as previously
