Well, I personally do not own a JD combine anymore (2388 now),but my neighbor recently stopped by after he had been to the our local Deere dealer, who was_is working on his 9750 STS, where his combine mechanic basically said that "he had better trade it off, they are throw-away combines, use one season, then trade them off." That was from one of the best combine mechanics I have known, for 30 years and who use to be my combine mechanic. And, these were the thoughts of the sales staff as well. Therefore, they are focusing on promoting the 9650 walker vs. the STS. Sounds to me like there is a reliability problem going on and the dealers are voicing there opinion. This isn't the only complaint I have heard. I know other farmers with STS's who have voiced similar complaints.
