Thank you, Pete. I'm glad things are going so well for both you and the Gleaner. I'd sure like to hear more about the combine during the off-season, too. Also, be sure to keep up with the other combine talk forum. There's lots of good stuff over there, too.

Yes, this is a great site, thank you Gleaner Guys. Us young farmers, with limited mechanical skills truly appreciate any help, we can get. My Dad, an old Gleaner man, passed away this Spring. 50 Years of farm experience gone. Now it's up to me 4th generation on the farm, to get it done. From the looks of it, I will be the last. Son and Daughter have both got good education and great jobs, they are not looking back. I do love the land though!!

Hang in there Burbet. Those kids of yours might just be back sometime! If you really start to do some research on the big think tank's projected world food supply figures beyond the next decade, it will or should frighten you! The projected production and the projected consumption have a very large gaps between them. There just ain't going to be enough food for mankind's increasing wants so somebody will go short and all will pay. The farmers, at last, will have a very good chance of being paid at a rate that big city business people have taken for granted for the last 20 or 30 years. Mankind will need yours and lots of other kids and their education down on the farm. In the meantime, we will all help to keep those Gleaners rolling!
