Sounds like you've got a short to ground some where in the work lite wiring. Mice love to chew on the wires and it may have shorted there. The cliking is the circuit breaker and be glad it works. look for bare and pinched wires from a recent repare. Good luck. Junkman

On the 850_860s there is a relay on the firewall for the lights which tends to go haywire from time to time.

It sounds to me that your light switch is going bad. They are known to fry from the heavy load that is put on them from so many lights being on one switch. Have replaced alot of switches in Massey's over the years.
