In relation to your question harvest around here starts late november through to end of december but if you were looking for work windrowing of canola starts about mid early october This is in the central west area of nsw where it starts about the same time as windrowing up north of us and continues till january to the south probably be a good time next yaer as the season was rough this year so people will be planting plenty

Hi boggo We would love to hire you but you really need to be 18 years old for that. We're a custom harvesting business with four combines. Every year we hire young guys from all over the world. They usually come in April, if they're good shop workers even earlier. Truck drivers we can keep busy all year around. Our harvest starts at the end of May. In August we get done with wheat. Than we have our fall crops what is mostly corn and some soybeans and milo. It lasts usually into October. Most of our help leaves in November. Some have stayed for a second season. Getting a drivers licence is real easy. For a car it takes a few hours. For a truck you need to practice driving for a few days.
