Me too, because I got a big head start. I inherited some of the operation and I bought the rest at below market rate. My grandfather started it from scratch. My father built it up more. I turned it into what it is today. I've been able to expand because they came first and paved the way. Then again, I'm unlikely to ever be in that scenario.
Most farmers make the mistake of staying too long with some farming methods and expecting different results. It helps to consult or take a break rather than getting too deep into debt.I'm all for trying something new and tweaking my approach until I get it right. I wouldn't go too deeply into debt though. At some point, it's time to call it quits.
