The first year was 1977. They were nicknamed "short tail" because of the walkers and cleaning shoe. Don't buy one of these. In 1978 they added 18" to the length of the straw walkers and made the shoe area bigger. The last year of the F2 was 1982. Get one with the 4 cylinder diesel. If you are close to NEIN I have a 1979 that has run about 200 acres per year for sale.

Also, the powerfold auger was an option after 78 Ithink, much handier than the manual fold one. late F2's were similar to F3's having electric over hydraulic controls, but are hard to find and command as much as an F3--about double an F2, but most F3 features cuold be added to an F2. I have a good F2 for sale, $8500 CAN, 519-529-3241. Ben.
