Actually boetboer, its supposed to apply to all combines with a threshing cylinder and concaves. Try it once and then you be the judge wether it works for you or not. Its a good thing to try, as it is free, just dont get too caught up thinking it has to be that way. There is no sin in changing the pinch point or experimenting with other leveling adjustments. I see you like to use the quick kill to study your machine as well as I do. It sure takes alot of guess work out of what adjustment needs to be made. Not to mention all the other usefull info you can attain. So how is the harvest shaping up for youIJ The flax harvest should be coming up soon, should'nt itIJ

I don't know whether you know, but I'm from South Africa. We've had a very dry season here in the South-Western Cape and yields are looking to be poor. The flax should be ready in a few weeks, yes. We'll probably start swathing the first canola in about 10-14 days, wheat and barley usually shortly after that. I'll post on here as soon as we've started. How's yours lookingIJ

Actually yes I did know you are in south africa. I've been following some of your posts, which is why I was wondering how things are over there. I am in Oregon USA. In my area, we are finished with grain and most all seed. There is a few acres of fresh corn and other vegetables still out, but they will be done soon. Our harvest season started off kind of dry and the yeilds in general around here were down slightly, but nothing contemtable. If you want to, send me an email. I'd enjoy visiting with you outside the forum. Maybe send pictures back and forth to get a view of what its like to farm on the other side of the world.
