The 9650sts will handle the 12 row corn head as well as your 9610. You will want the heavy duty feederhouse drive on the 9650sts to handle the loads of the 12 row head.

Yes, you can run a 1293 (or 1243 for that matter, after you switch the backshafts) on a 9650STS. We did it last year, and could run 4.2 mph in corn yielding 210 wet (20.4 ave moisture). If the ground is a tad moist, (soft) you will probably have to slow down a bit to unload, especially uphill, but otherwise, no sweat. Yes, Virginia, you DO need to get the HD feederhouse drive and heavy duty belt, not the standard duty lower feeder house drive belt. Hank
