We won't always afford brand new machinery, and so most of us opt for second-hand machines that are usually easier to maintain. What are the pros and cons of going with either of these options?
Used machinery offers a lot of value, especially tractors. My first two tractors were vintage tractors that I got for really good prices and they serve me well. I also have bought most of my tractor implements used and saved a lot of money. We won't always afford brand new machinery, and so most of us opt for second-hand machines that are usually easier to maintain. I think it makes a difference when a farmer is patient and knows where and when to get used machinery. It is easy to rush and purchase machinery that won't offer value.Used machinery offers a lot of value, especially tractors.
