Winter auction

The next town over is having an auction next weekend. I have never been to a farm equipment auction. I'm pretty excited! I'm taking a couple of guys from my farm and the neighboring farm. What would you say would be a smart thing to buy at an auction?

I've been to a few of these. The auctions around here have farm equipment, ATVs, wood, plants, etc.. I have purchased tools, an ATV, wood and a few plants. I've never purchased farm equipment.

That all depends on what you need. I've bought everything from a tractor to hand tools at farm auctions. Make sure that you check out whatever you're interested in during the viewing. Have the maximum price that you'd pay set in your mind, and don't go a penny above that.
