Several months ago I purchased a Sunshine GardenHouse kit from Home Depot. I've been using it for a while now and I'm deeply disappointed in the greenhouse. I'm past the return date or I'd absolutely send it back. It's poorly made and constructed with cheap materials. It was impossible to put it together as is, so we had to make some modifications. It's not waterproof as claimed either. It's a lovely design, but it's poorly made. If you buy a kit online definitely open the boxes immediately and make sure all the pieces are there. Then try to assemble it as soon as possible in case you need to take it back for a refund. I sat on mine too long before springing into action. Note that GardenHouse may be a good brand with a solid reputation and I just got a lemon.

A lemon that cost $1700? You bought a grove, dear.

Well, a lesson learned is a lesson learned. I never assume that something is the same as what was promised.

I would still send an email to the company telling them what your problems were. A quality company should stand behind their product, even if you did sit on it for a while. You never know, they still might send you something to pay for your troubles. We're all business people and I'm sure we all stand behind our products.

In my defense, I bought the greenhouse for my mother in December when it was on sale. I figured I'd wait until it warmed up to do outside projects since we needed to level the ground first which was frozen at that time. I feel like I acted reasonably, which is why I wanted to say something about it here. If you're speeding a good chunk of money, then make sure to assemble the product before the deadline passes or buy it later.

@RichZ, I did. Unfortunately, we modified the greenhouse, so they aren't responsible for it. We made the changes because it wouldn't fit together otherwise. That's when I should've contacted them to begin with though, instead of modifying it. I figured I couldn't return it that far past the deadline, so we kept going. It really is my mistake. It isn't a terrible greenhouse, but it's not waterproof or durable. My mom likes it though.
