I will have to check this app out. We could really use another tractor for our farm, but there is no way we can afford a new one at this point in time. Thanks for sharing!
Kyle M has good advice. If she does sell by roadside, she should pick a fairly populated street but not one that has non-stop traffic. She could also try selling at your local farmer's market or flea market.
I love shrimp, too. I like to mix it into pasta and top with alfredo sauce. Pair it with some fresh broccoli, and it makes for a delicious dinner! Shrimp stir fries are also very tasty.
As you all know, things are slow on the farm in wintertime. It's a challenge not to go stir-crazy during these months. I like to use this time to try out new recipes and start some of my garden seedlings indoors. What do you all do from going stir-crazy at this time of year?
My family really likes Mexican party dip. I found a recipe that lets me make it in the slow cooker, which is convenient. Here is a good recipe for slow cooker Mexican party dip - Slow-Cooker Easy Mexican Party Dip
This dip is great with tortilla chips.
We, too, close up our livestock at night. It is just a habit. We have fencing that helps protect them against predators, but we feel better with our animals being in an enclosed barn when it gets dark out.
We had a blue heeler when I was growing up, and he was never aggressive with us. He was very energetic, loved to help out on the farm. If you get a puppy, you can easily train him how to behave around children.
Did you all know that cows can swim? I didn't realize they could until I recently read a story about three cows that swam five miles to safety after being swept away in Hurricane Dorian. They must be pretty strong swimmers to have been able to swim all that way! I don't think I could swim five...
Thank you for the tip!! We are looking to add two or three chickens to our farm this coming Spring, so I will definitely look into these. I think they are quite lovely to look at. It would be great if we had fresh eggs throughout the entire year.
I'm looking into getting Fixd - it's a pocket-sized device that plugs right into your car that tells you all kinds of stuff about your vehicle from why the "check engine" light is on to reminding you of when your oil needs changed. I'm not very good with remembering to keep my car up, so I think...
We would like to make a pond on our farm, but we'll need a bulldozer to do the job, and we don't have one. Do you all know if there's somewhere we could rent one? One of our neighbors actually owns one, but they aren't all that friendly, so we'd rather not ask them to borrow it. Any suggestions...
