Operation and maintanance book that was send out with machines_N 3666398 troubleshooting and repair electonic control system: P_N 3666371 comes in two volumes. Quick chart for wiring and fault codes: P_N 3666395. R65-75 service manual also has list of error codes for QSC. The pink wire you cut to tack unit was one of the two CAN wires and stoped the comumication from engine control unit to tack unit. You might want to hook it up during the day and if it bothers at night when you turn on lights unhook it again. You might want to then try again to get errors to show up. I've had to fiddle with this a few times in the past when tring to get errors up. Try turning key on then turn left knob the one way and then the other knob the oppisite ect. until you hopefully get errors displayed. I believe once you get them to show up you rotate left knob to cycle between active and non active codes. Then try flashing key on and off up to five times quickly to get rid of errors and recheck to see if they are all gone. This might give you something to go on should you have more trouble. Fuel restriction on these machines have allways displayed error 328 or 329 which doesn't realy point out fuel restrictions but cleaning screen or replacing filter have fixed them. Best of luck

Forgot to mention that you might want to set overload tweety bird to come on at 100 RPM below rated load. I believe you said it was coming on to early. You can test this by engaging machines and slowly bring back from high idle to see when it starts cherping. There is likely a small hole in plastic that lines up with small hole in tack unit on the right side. If no hole you need to remove plastic to expose tack. You press a switch in the hole and then set RPM with knob. Ground speed constant is set in the same way and I believe you rotate left knob to switch between ground speed and overload setting. Good luck

Thanks NDDan, It was good to talk to you the other day on the phone. AS stated we cleaned the in-line screen and things have improved somewhat. We are also noticing that on a full tank of fuel we have no problems as all. My uneducated assessment is the lift pump back on the motor is getting weak. After doing mor checking the pink wire IS hooked up, yet we still get no codes. Apparenlty the last time the TechVan guys looked at it they repaired the pink wire. So that is puzzling about not getting codes. We have a local lined up that can read the QSC, so when we get a chance we may have him read it and see what codes are there. I'll bet there will be something in regards to the lift pump. Anyway, thanks so much for all the great help!!! Your a gentlemen and a scholar!

WE had a lift pump on a 98 62 get weak and as you say it was erratic in occuring, so we were blameing filters_fuel because everytime we changed one it would work ok for a while. Ended up trading and dealer found the lift pump and from what I know that solved it all

G'Day Guys Another aspect you can check, is that the fuel tank is not getting a vacuum in it, as the day goes on! you can block the fuel cap breather or in grain tank fuel breather with fine dust! Also! a big issue we are haven here in Oz of fuel restrictions is the thought of $8.00 a US Gallon for Diesel!!!!! man I hope it's better by December. Rolf

Another thing I have heard of but not seen on the QSC is some check valve coming apart and getting into one of the fittings I beleive at electric lift pump. Might want to have your man dismantle a couple fitting to see if he should find something like this. Seems somewhere around a half tank of fuel should give positive pressure to area at about the height of electric pump or fuel filter if it was a M11. Also I fiddled with a couple machines with QSCs since I talked to you and I had no trouble bringing up error codes. If first you don't succeed try try again. Good luck
