Sounds like your conditions are close to mine. How many acres have you ran it on and does the relieabilty seem comperable to the 1020. We have to put a new set of guards, center pan and end poly shoes on after 2200 acres each year. Thanks again its nice to be able to talk with someone who has ran one not just company men!

We have just bought an 8010 and plan on getting a 36 foot 2062 draper head to go with it. They are pricey, but everyone I've talked to that used one this fall loves them. My question is on the transport package for head. Is it quicker and easier to just use a 36' head cart or the transport package that is an option on head. Have heard both ways. With this size head it has got to come on and off often so want to get it set up right. Thanks!

MDJ when we were in Ohio to the show they had the head on the transport kit, Took 4 men to get in the field, didn't look like that was the way to go to me.

The head we used had the transport package on it,took 2 people 10 min to get to transport or to field. It is not the handiest setup. I would get a trailer made next time.

Well gentlemen, I have seen them working in 30 and 36 foot versions, with and without transports. They work better without the self contained transport because the extra weight on the wings make the header wing float less sensitive. Also guage wheels are best left up for cutting on the ground. The best thing for that machine is to try it out or find someone who can show you about it.
