Combines 500 grain head HElP

we had a 500 head. We had troble with the crop bunching up and bending the fliting at the center. We have a 800 head now and it works so much better with the longer fliting. I would try noching or welding a bead on it like the other guys said. I think this may solve you problem

Reel sweeps are the answer to clearing the cutter bar and feather sheets. I dont understand why more guys dont use them. Tom in MN
