What is close by that space that generates enough heat to consider it a likely place for a fireIJ

Its not just sunflowers there starting on fire in corn also, I talked to one owner in southern Mn. and his was on fire he put it out then little while later the feeder chain went in through the roter and now he wished he would just let her burn, what do you think of that Case, when I was taking mine back to dealer 3 weeks ago for warranty which by the way they still havent sent warranty parts yet !Real cool Case! I told my dealer I wished somebody would run in to it, but then why take it out on some body else for CNH screw up. Your machine Sucks.

we had our 1688 and a rented 9650 deere on fire lots last year in field peas the powdery mildew built up on exhaust then flaked of causing fires. All makes catch on fire. The deere was worse and it is no longer around.

You know FR I read your complaints and agree with you but now its time to put the complaining to rest. I hope CNH comes through for you as well as everyone else that has had problems with the machines but case is not the only one having issues or the only brand that has had issues in the past when new products come out. I am a red user in and out and wouldn't look elseware. As I said earlier good luck but lay off the complaining I think everyone on here has heard you enough.

We had the same problem with fires this year as well. We normally drag a short length of chain from the frame of the combine to help minimize the amount of static electricity. The first day of sunflower harvest we forgot to attach the chain and had several small areas start smoldering. After we hosed the combine down as a precautionary measure, we put the chain on, and had no more problems through the rest of the sunflower acres. Could have just been a coincidence, but dragging the chain sure seemed to help. Good luck

Could not agree more. I'm an 8010 owner who previously had 3 STS combines and had more trouble with them then our 8010 this year. Sick of your complaining FR. Trade this for another color and get a life, but I bet nothing would make you happy. Pity the dealer who has you for a customer.Good luck!

Sorry to ofend any body on here, accept Case, I to like other people just want machine to run smooth if I can talk any body out of 8010 till they get it to work and at least run with the 2388s that is what I will do I wished I would have known how they really were I would have waited and if Case really cares send out some warrant parts so we can at least put it in our shed,so its not on display all torn apart so freind can you honestly tell me you would not care if it was yours. So people keep your 2388s!

We have harvested sunflowers for 25years with JD combines and All Crop heads and never had a fire. We use leaf blowers to clean them off every night when we're done. Also we hang a chain with a 24 inch piece of 2inch shaft on each row where drive tires run to knock stocks over, shafts are always in the dirt.

If I was FR I would be PO'd too. To have spent that much money on a machine and have that much trouble, somebody from case would be getting a pretty good cussing from me. So you guys lay off and let him vent a little , he's not hurting anyone.
