Combines 8010

i agree both comps have problems. partner has a 8420 in shop now. it sounds like you cut the oil off when you shift 11th and up. I have a 285, 270, 4410 patriot, 9380 that we have virtually no problems with. I have a 325 with accu steer thats a decent tractor but the accu steer is a joke. can't drive it straight. they told me they have not got valve perfected yet. why did they sell it thenIJ I think it was about a $10000 option. have a case accu guide on 285, it has never worked a full day. I ran 8010 on 60 acres of wheat. put in barn. I have 2 leaks on hydraulic lines. It proably is missing the O ring, that was what was the matter with last leak. maybe they should find out who left O ring off and fire them. most of the new items don't have any quality control. I don't think I will be a first time buyer on new items anymore.

Neirboring town dealer this morning told me all production of Accusteer STX's haulted. Do not know if this is true. I finally made my Accu-steer drive itself, but with no assist from CNH, and on plan C. But I admit there are compromises in Auto-steering a 4wd art. tractor. But I at least can drive 24-7 if needed. Wonder why some trimbles can not run all dayIJ I can remember this ole kid stating that in AZ, ID, CA several guys were switching away from trimble because of this. How many SATS do you have to have to engageIJ I was razzing him that they should be to aleast the dash two series by now. ex. STX 275-2 etc. Several items that you cannot update the early ones, Hope they get your combine working well for all you 8010 owners in less time than they have spent working out the bugs on the STX's. I know the feeling, that's is one reason I feel JD has the jump on the tractors, plus I know someone who can make the phone call and get a direct connection if needed when problems arise on Steering. I Go RED on those good ole combines though, just do not have the urge or need for a new one though.

whats up with the accuguideIJ I was under the impression the trimbles work great IJ their is a lot of them around here and north a good trimble dealer in Onawa IA. I use a Arro Beeline, it has worked flawlees this spring in my 375quad and mt765cat. I just put a VIU on our 1254 rogator and tried it out out tonight less than a inch off @ 16mph I could not be happier! hope to have it in my 8010 this fall. It could be worse..you could have a 1254 Rogator Sprayer lol WE have great luck with our steigers and one magnum and of course our 2388's But hey everyone keep buying those new holland 8010's and get them perfected and then i'll thank all of you personally for it

Where were your updates doneIJ I drove by Quality Repair, out side of Colona Il last night and it looked Grand Island East! There has to be 15 or more 8010's on their lot and in the shops. Some had been moved out like part of the work was done as the side panels were still off the machines. No way to tell if there was a completed section and a waiting section in the lot, just a bunch of combines. Really looked kind of funny as there were a couple of new JD's also in the lot on trailers waiting to be hauled out. Quality also does some shipping staging for a carrier who hauls Deeres.

I posted my email address and had every single person who had good luck with these combines email me. I didn't get one email back. Our 8010 is currently being updated and I hate green so I'll give them another chance. I want this combine to work, we picked this combine because it made sense for our farm. It needs to run. I have talked to our case dealership and they are just as frustrated as we are about the combine. We have tried to set up meetings with Case about this combine and they haven't met with us yet. I guess we are trying to work out some kind of buyout for the current combine, but let me tell you the usual rhetoric is what I get from the higher ups at Case. The updates. . . the this the that. . . we are the only ones having this problem is what we get. I'm sick of it, they have problems, address them, get the thing feeding and move on.

Well my 8010 finally worked all 2 full days with not a single problem. All the updates seem to have helped and the Crary head was working very well. The only thing that give us any problems was yesterday could not figure out why we had a dirty sample when the night before it was clean then realized that the settings we put in were lost and it went back to the stock corn setting and did the same thing today- Now we will check it every day to see where it is at. last fall I did not think I would say this but maybe Case does know what there doing just they should have had the R.D. done before they put it out. This machine really outperformed my 2388s which are set at 340hp with 30ft heads compared to the 8010 and 36ft. This fall will be the test when we put it in irrigated corn. The problem comes to play when most of us our comparing to 23series combines which most of us old guys could set and fix and now with the computer control presures and all, it is a little tougher to understand. Fortunatly my 24 year old son understand it a lot beter than me. So I say hang in there with the 8010 it will come around I think. F.R.

WOW, good comments on the 8010, thats good to hear. I agree with FR, DO NOT do RandR on the costumer on a shrinking customer base again. People are quick to switch brands and never look back when new equiptment fails miserably on thier early runs.
