Sender is on filter head. You could unplug and make up a wire to jump this wire to ground. If light doesn't bother then get yourself a sending unit. If light still bothers you could be looking at circuit board that has bulbs in it. Sending unit is magnet sensitive. The magnet is on insert that fits into filter. If filter is getting restricted the magnet will move with filter and let you know oil is starting to try bypass filter. Have to doubt a restriction when new filter didn't change things even for a while. Good luck
