Sounds to me like is somebody that is just too lazy to do daily maintenance and wants a handout to make up for it. Not that difficult to blow some chaff and dust off, let it go and watch anything burn up eventually!

I had a small fire on my 9660; - regional service manager from Deere came out to my farm with the sales rep and took down extensive information and photos. He also spent an hour with me to provide tips and pointers as to where to extensively clean various areas of the combine. This sounds like a company that is realizing a potential problem and doing something about it; - and I AM NOT a major Deere client!

Are you an insurance salesmanIJIJIJIJ WTF was that comment forIJIJIJ No where did Big Al slam Americans, yet you decided to make it a Canadian_American thing. What an ignorant reply. Explain to me how we are making off 'YOUR' american wheat. Try growing crops without those precious lDP's.

Steady Big Al, i think you will find that simon is from Australia and may be trying to get some US _ Canadian background on those "POS Deere" combines as you have called them.

Big Al or is it big mouth, since 1989 we have had 144 9000 series combines,44 sts and have not lost one to fire damage, so blame JD for having faulty equipment you spineless b*st*rd, until you have the knowledge or proof don't run you're trap. Go back to you're tomato can and shut up.

azcuter,I think your post was rude and uncalled for. Al was stating facts the way his insurance agent told them to him. He did not lower himself to personal name calling like you have done. Is a piece of green metal that important to you that you feel called to degrade your fellow man like thatIJ

I never once said the 9000 series was the problem so I would not expect you to have had a problems with those models. As for your STS models my insurance broker told me that the 60 series Deere's were the problem with the fires. You did not state how many of your STS models were of the 60 series vintage. And if you would have read my first post and thought for a minute before you replied you would have understood that I am upset because of Deere's problems with fires on CERTIAN models of combines we all have to pay. I am a firm beliver in a user pay system if you want to run Deere combines and if they are a higher risk with fires then other compaines combines your insurance premium should reflect that. But it is not like that we are all lumped together for rate calculation and we all pay doesn't seem fair to me. Incidently thank you Unit 2 for your defense, name calling is for the nursery school not professional farmers or harvesters.
