I thought that you were with a Deere dealership and not a farmer. Are you just fishing for a good trade valueIJ

For someone who has had Masseys all their life you sure know alot about J.D.combines and tractors. Whats the real storyIJ Can't stand to see J.D. lose marketshare in the combine marketIJ Or are you just stirring the potIJ Neil

This doesnt make sense, you are comparing a 9760 to a 9690IJ Come on now, this is like comparing eggs to apples, I have ran the 9750 and 9790 and lOl well all I can say is you would have to be color blind to buy the green one because the Massey smoked it

I'm not comparing capacity. (I'm not even interested in a 9760sts.) It's not all about speed. That seems to be all people care about on this site. It's just the fit and finish. Everything about the Deere is so much smoother. When the feerhouse tilts and the MF, it shakes the whole combine (always has),you can't see the auger when dumping on the go, (plus, w_ the JD, that big auger allows the cart driver to get out from under you in HAlF the time). I've never had anything green, but it is just a nicer, not necessarily faster, but as fast, combine in my mind.

Believe what you want. Do any of you really think the JD people are worried about Massey or losing mkt share to themIJ I don't think so. I know a lot about all kinds of equipment. It's my hobby. I have a combine for sale. Period.

Its pretty sad when you say you don't like your MF combine even though you owned and operated one and they call you a liar. And its not like you were trying to stir things up either like some people. I don't care who runs what kind of combine as long as you are happy it with. One of these days I want to look at a MF. Also, my local JD dealer sold the first JD 9860 in my state. Can't wait to see how it performs.

bmoney7, of course JD is worried about marketshare, if they weren't they wouldn't put bounties on other colors of machines. Every company wants to retain marketshare and if possible increase(extra profit) but never lose their percent of the market.Profit_loss thats why new machines are introduced, if JD wasn't concerned they wouldn't have brought out a rotor combine, a tractor with tracks, a snowmobile, a chainsaw, a snowblower, a leafblower, ect. MARKETSHARE thats what it's all about, and if there are JD combines sitting on Massey lots they are losing MARKETSHARE to Massey and are concerned. Neil
