I am by no means an expert on them, but I have shelled corn with both of them for a few hours. I myself being a New Holland person would take the CR970. Both can really combine a lot of acres, but I think the CR would have an edge on it's design being a little more proven. I don't see nothing worng with the 8010 and if you have a great CIH dealer it would be a great comine also. I don't know how they compare in priceIJ If dealers was equal and price the same it may be a tough choice, but you would not go worng with one or the other. Some people think the 8010 is just a repainted New Holland but they are much different, I think they only share the ground drive train and feeder house. Good luck. Ilnh
