You may be right. Ford actually has nothing to do with NH or IHC any more. Fiat bought NH from Ford, and that was the end of Ford. It was after this that NH bought IH.

Worked for a custom cutter this summer that had a prototype 9880 STS. The thing was incredible had 375 horsepower, 18 inch unloading auger, you could adjust the seives or fins on the straw spreaders from the cab, the fountain auger in the grain tank was folded down electrically, there was stuff added to the cab- more monitors etc., power mirrors, the gear selector was moved back about six inchs so know it comes up under the arm rest controls and bends around infront of them. It was equipped with a 36 ft. draper that was also a proto and all the hook ups all went into one panel so to speak and the combine had the same thing so you just hooked the two together and clamped it in place and you were away. There was only one way it fit on so everything would work there was no chance for mixing up the connections. It did not look anything like the pictures from Europe that have the big grain tank extensions this one just had the normal John Deere bin extension, which by the way is a pain in the rear to put together.
