Combines a bit off subject AC8070

I would disagree also because we have owned a 7080,7020,8050,and an 8070. They seem to have adequate hydraulic power because we use the 7020 with a loder and the other tractors preform well as well. As far as the fuel economy they are a bit lacking there especially in the 7000 series but that can be expected in an older series tractor. We have a john deere 4450 2 wheel drive and the allis tractors dont burn much more fuel at all.

I agree with you greatly Kelly! The powershift in the 8000 series was greatly ahead of its time. We have a 9190 duetz allis and they should have kept the full powershift because the 9190 onlt has a three speed powershift what a step down!!!The 8000 powershift was little rough on the shift but great compared to the power director. The fuel economy seemed average and ive never heard of a hydraulic capacity problem.

Oh the lighting its an elect switch. the lighting on the allis seems adequate. Im my personal opinion lights on the top of the cab are a curse. All it does it not allow you to see where you need too. Personally i dont need to see what color the hood is at one in the morning. the stadium lights are good though just need to be limited to the back. (Hint) put switches on the front lights.

I would agree mike the 7000 tractors are durable machines!!! We have a 7020 and a 7080 and the 7020 has been through heck as a loader tractor and the tractor has been very durable. The 7080 is one of the toughest tractors i have ever seen it was on the dyno last summer and topped out at 205 HP not bad for being rated at 180. It will easily spin the duals!!! Fun tractor to run! But the cab is a little noisy but not bad for a 30 year old tractor!

I couldnt imagine any AC 7000 being a loader tractor. Nothing is where it should be, throttle, hydraulics, guages, shift levers, pto. Ive ran 2 allis tractors long enough to know i'd rather be in anything else..maybe ours are junk though, theres not many around us except ours. 7060 and 7020, blackbellies. Neither tractor seems to be able to pull what they should, perhaps they're over weighted but the 7060 will not even spin dual tires in a plowed field under load, in 3rd low low, is that normalIJ The 7020 is much worse, gutless as can be, what rpm range should they be ran at, I have not found power at any speed.

i.ve tried runnung the hyd. motor on the 1st spool to the last spool with the valves to the bare minimum required for the max pump output that i need on my sprayer with no better results. even put a lower gpm pump (7) with more output in liquid volume. also turned the spool that runs my boom controls way down to no better results. when i move the lever for boom changes there is an interruption in the hyd. pump, i don't care for skips of grass or weeds in fields. if there is a tech person to get in touch with, point me in that direction. i hear what your saying but try the actual condition i'm using this in and tell me different. i'm very open for sugestions.

With the multiple functions you are trying to run, you do need to go beyond the ordinary. I think you can weld or bronze in a fitting into the oil supply for the valve body. It will be a steel elbow with a big fitting on it. You might be able to put in some type of Tee with uncommon fittings. Make sure the hyd flow to your pump is restricted so you have some oil left over. These tractors put out around 17 gpm to the valves. Kelly

Nothing you describe is normal, your tractors need attention!! 7020 were rated at 120hp, every one Ive ever put on the dyno pull 145hp.. 7060 were 160hp most pull 175 on the dyno. 7020 IMO is the most under rated tractor ever produced. youer tractors must be tired and in need of attention.

Have to agree! My 7020 had no low end but when above 1900 rpm look out! It ran off and hid from my 115 hp 7000 and I finally dyno'd it at 158 hp. It had run that way for several years. When backed down to rated hp it was no dog, pulled a 5 shank v-ripper 20" deep and a 28' 3400 series Wilrich FC with ease. The only thing I have found better than the 7020 are my 8030 and 8050FWA, the 426cid doesn't back-off even at lower rpms.
