Factory Spec'd is 170hp but it will be hard to find one under 190hp. Neighbor bought one new and still has it and has only done maintenance to the pump and nozzles and it has turned 195hp from the factory. It's an FWA and one sweet tractor.

I've been watching for upcoming auctions offering a 9150. I kinda like the Deutz and have heard lots of good re: 9150 (good strong power train). How would a 9150 compare with a 8050IJ I'm assuming Allis made a 8050 which would be 150 HP.

I have a 8030 FWD and was interested in the comment about 5th gear whine as mine has some. Why would identical speeds between ranges have an effect on tranny whineIJ I also have rather harsh into 6th gear shifts and between reverse and 4th change of direction shifts. Are they normalIJ I also have a 7020 PD and while these tractors have been good mechanically they are rather clumsy to use as utility tractors. The 7020 especially as it is cold blooded, gutless at low rpm, and difficult to shift with its maze of shift control cables. THe 8030 is better with the powershift but the short wheel base and wide engine hood leaves something to be desired as a loader tractor. The 7020 has just as much power in the field with a lot less fuel. The powershift seems to suck up a bunch of power and the big block motor is less efficent.

I used to run a 7020 also know about the cold blood, summertime 90plus use either. That little moter 300 or so cubic inches wound very tight to make HP they put out mine made it to 8200 hours before dogbone fell out of three point and fell into ring gear and pinion big mess, replaced the old gal with 9655 miss her but got 7045 that added a intercooler to that is quite abit better tractor than the old 7020 that extra 200 or so cu inches adds quit abit of extra weight up front for mounted equipment and with the inter cooler have the thing putting 172hp on dyno.I also think the 8000 series tractors or great with the big cabs. But the 7000 were years ahead of their time 12 speed power shift not enough gears but the big green only had 8 wham bam throw you threw the cab. Sound Gaurd ever driven a 40 something compared to a 70 something. And only deer could put a cab post in the middle of your vision and get away with it.

We have a 7080 and it will outpull our 9190 that is rated at 195hp and it will run circles round it when you get it goingI agree with you

We have a 7020 and a 4450 JD and the 4450 kills it in low end torque but the 7020 definately preforms well in the jobs that we use it for. the JD would be a better loader tractor but it is much newer also so its not an even comparison. But both tractors are good each has their qualities. I have never seen a JD jump at all mabe it has to do with the weight on them.

We have a 7020 and a 7080 and they are not the most operator friendly tractors but they are very functionable on the loader because of the simple fact that they are built heavy in the frame and in the front end. the transmission isnt the best for the loader but it does its job. as far as power it is lacking in low end torque but once you get the rpm up and thr turbo fully kicked in they are mean machines. the 7080 will pull a 40 ft field finisher 7 mph easily. very gutty tractor.
