Combines A85

I watched an 85 unload at the Farm Progress show last fall. It will do as advertised. Our R-75 with a turett was very slow untill we opened up the baffle. Mabey RJT's machine was all choked down in the bin. They don't want you in the bin on the A series.

You may be right. I did not go inside the bin. I was just at a Challenger combine clinc today and the product specialist told me the auger on the 680B (A85) is 15" in diameter. The Gleaner swivel is 14" so not much difference and they both run about the same RPM. Since they both come out of the bin at a gradual incline you can see why it might be hard to tell if the 680B (A85) really was any faster. Throw in haveing the auger cover a little tighter and they might be unloading at the same rate.
