I got to run an 8010 about 130 hours.Overall I was very impressed.It had a few computer glitches and a couple of hydraulic lines break, but it is an impressive machine.We ran it with 4 2388's.In bluegrass it could consistantly run 1 mile per hour faster in all conditions and varieties and that is impressive for that crop.In wheat we had a 36 draper header cutting 80 bushel wheat at 4 miles an hour.Even at 375 hp, it could still use a little more horsepower.The overall design is much improved and simplified over the 2388.

How did self-leveling and unloading system seem to workIJ Also, how easy was it to change heads and crops. We're considering trading a 9650STS and would appreciate any help. Thanks!

The heads don't change as easy as the new Deere ones do. The pan levels side-to-side, but now front to back. My experience is that the front-to-back is very much needed. Makes sense, huhIJ

On our hills in northern Il I have never felt like we needed front to back leveling, however we can be doing 4 mph and have to slow down to 1.5 or slower on side hills. Thats where our grain loss and inefficiency is coming from here. Also in comparing changing new Deere head to 8010 I'm surprised you had a chance to do this. I was under the understanding they were just introduced to dealers last week,but I could be wrong. Thanks for your input.

The self leveling shoe worked fine, we added seive dividers to ours.It seemed to save grain very well on hillsides way beyond 8%.It unloads like mad, I think it is suppose to be 3 bushels per second.Horsepower grows to 440 when unloading on the go.It took a little longer to change to the grain header, because ours had the built in header cart.You would have to put wheels in transport or field mode, It took about 15 mins for 1 guy.For changing crops everything is adjustable from in the cab including the seives.

There are a few of them sitting around here in Illinois on dealers lots. Can't tell the difference in the 2 Deere combines except that big unloading auger on the newer combine. Been around the AFX alot.

just out of curiosity, where would this 8010 be cutting wheatIJ the plugging may just be that nobody has spent the time to properly adjust to the various conditions. i had the same with my unit and have found that it was my own problem. then again i'm no expert either. what size header was on the 9750IJ thanks NDB

we are in St paul Alberta. There are only 2 units in Alberta. The 9750 also had a 30 ft head on it. I think the adjusting was done in a hurry. They were in a hurry to get to the field to try and put the JDs to shame. lol. This xould have been part of the problem.
