I also had the chance to ride with a guy in his 8010 with a 36 foot head, i was curious on the plugging that you said you were having was it the rotor or feederIJ This machine seemed to move right along, the only plugging we saw was the center draper on the head this was caused from dirt since we were cutting pretty low to the ground. We were inthe field with 9750 Jd and one thing we saw was in spring wheat the 8010 seemed to clean it a liitle better.

The plugging was in the feeder house. We werent cutting to close to the ground either. The opereator was having problems determining what the trouble was. I also think the 8010 was cleaning better than the 9750.

Neighbor had the same problem with his. Just couldn't get it to feed like it should. Wound up adding another link in the throat chain and he went from cutting rice at 3 MPH to 5.5MPH, made a whole new combine out of it. Don't ask me what the difference one link made, i have no idea, but it worked for him. You may want to try that. Just my .02.

let me add my .02 worth. We had the same problem combining soybeans last fall. The first half day only did only 19 acres. Added a link to the fielder house chain and put on rasp bars on the rock trap in place of the smooth bars and never stopped after that. That was with a 30 foot head on a 2366.

Adding a link to the feeder chain would let you to move the front feeder drum forward a little. This would allow the feeder chain to pick up the crop better coming out of the head.

I am running an 2004 8010 and have had little troubles with it. I think going back to drive belts would be going backwards.

Not one problem with CVT. This was the most dramatic change in the combine and it was flawless from start to finish.
