well lets see here number one Agco WOUlDN'T be in business if they hadn't bought out MF or the other short line companies! look at the stock part and see what part MF makes up around 43% of agco and AC and Gleaner makes up bout 10% maybe. so i wouldn't diss MF other wise there wouldn't be no Agco. no offense here i like the agco allis that we have but it will nickle and dime us to death because of all the electric stuff on it. we have a case ih 7120 it has been back to the shop 1 time and not in the busy time either, the agco has been back like 15 times since 1995 and about 6 or 7 times it happend during the busy time and the dealer never would give us a tractor to use so we have no use for agco after that. proven fact all Agco Allis and Gleaner machinery that was made in Independence MIssouri was JU_K now that agco learned that it was all in the factory i hope it gets better now that they have moved in to heston kansas if they would let MF and the heston people run it agco would be a rolling. i knwo one thing if they do something to get rid of the MF combine most of them would go to case ih or deere because people i have talked to said they weren't buying no gleaner and we ahvea massey we will go case ih u got to listen to teh people that are making the money and making the company run not the people that aren't doing much in it. like the agcostar tractor it should be painted red and there would be many more of them sold guarenteed everybody knew the MF 4wd nobody knows of an agcostar 4wd them people that had the red 4wds went to ford or case ih because they were loyal to massey but agco went silver for some reason a massey dealer said that he told them (agco reps) that they would sell the agcostar if they had it in red. we have a 4840 mf 4wd and it has al,most 5,000 hours and the motor hasn't been touched for anything and that tractor is still going strong. one thing if MF would have put the 8000's series underneath it there wouldn't have been hardly anyone of them sold as far as i am concerned we have an 8030 and that is the loudest tractor well forgot the 7080 ac that i have been in the 9670 is all right but i'd take an MF any day over an AC cause the mf dealer woudl work for us the ac dealer won't. but another thing the agco allis 9670 we have has the worst clutch u cannot inch back to anything if so they better be out of the way and u cannot raise the 3point hitch up a little it is all or none. so what if MF didn't have big horsepower tractors back in the 80s they still outsold AC didn't theyIJ well compare the MF 4wds with the Ac 4wds compare them sales and see what you get out of it. i am giving credit to MF for keeping agco rolling if agco ever decides to dump MF they are done cause overseas it is all MF everybody says MF is starting to come back and our dealer said it was cause more people are starting to come to him pricing the new 8780XP models that run deere or ih or 1 gleaner guy did becasue of poor parts and bad dealer. but i am giving credit to MF where it belongs. allen this is how i see it

honest misteak i made here couting deutz allis (agco allis) they have 1% and Gleaner has 2% and MF has 45% shows ya who agco should listen to and it ain't the Ac men. look at the things that agco changed on the agcostar that the MF had on it but that agco star changed and put it into the agcostar well them are teh things going wrong is teh stuff that the agco people put in if they would ahve left it like MF had it woudl have been allright but i guess that is agco for ya! if u want me to send ya a copy of the article i would be more than happy to copy it and mail it to ya i got my facts from the agrinews.

Actually McConnel bought the tooling and rights to built the Massey 4000 series tractor and the 360 wide level disc.He later sold the rights for the disc to Noble for more money than what he paid for the whole package. When he bought the tractors he also got enough axles to build 50 tractors which would lower his cost and get him in the market. He then signed a agreement with Massey to market the tractors but they were way aver priced and there was no quality control, the lenght of the agreement was four years and then he painted them yellow and called them McConnel Mark.Nobody wanted them so he sold out to Agco for peanuts, have anymore questionsIJ

i would much rather run an 8570 MF combine than a gleaner no offense gleaner people, but the dealer just plain stinks and i am very happy where i am, i know one thing if deere people or any other brand of people would get off their butt and look around at the massey they might just think man they do have a good combine instead of just cussing them when they had some of the older combines and most of them weren't taken care of by themselves, agco would sell many more stars if they woudl paint them red all of the MF dealers are saying to do that but agco just won't listen even to sell a few more of them. allen
