My 2004 1010 (25') rubs whenever I leave it facing the sun. It stops after a couple of minutes of running grain through it. You can see the auger is bowed about 1_2 and inch or so.

THis head isnt the auger that bows, its the frame that is bowing beyond factory specs. They are supposed to be changing the frame but we are only 4 weeks from beans and Im getting nervous. Of course this is the first one with the problem.

Isn't it amazing how many times we are the only ones with the problem. I have had two pickups and they were the only ones with transmission problems. I hope that they get you fixed up.

Somebody asked about the same thing 6 months to a year ago. All I can say is that In the last couple of months I have set up 2 NH 74C 30' heads and both worked fine. Did CaseIH leave the head alone or did they make some changes from the NH versionIJ Both of these heads had a good 2" or more upward adjustment left. Does the CaseIH version still have a free floating augerIJ

As far as I can tell the headers are the same for both colors. Yes it has a free floating auger. Company sent new frame, dealer installed it put the auger in, put wobble boxes on, hydraulics on, went to put reel on and they changed the weldments for the hydraulic lift. Never had this on serial number breaks, getting quite frustrated. When the frame is in the air it doesnt sag like the old one did, but there still doesnt seem to be much upward adjustment left on the auger.

The last one we did at work did not have the adjuster screws for the hight of the base of the reel cylinders either. They had a new cylinder with a threaded section on the rod end instead. I did notice the operators manual had a serial number listed on it. Some statement like "serialxxxxx and later". I don't know why they changed this mount. The adjuster screws have worked good enough for years. Most of the time you only set the reel cylinder hight once anyway. Well the main thing is when its on the combine that the auger doesn't rub the floor or scrapers.
