Applying for specialty crop grant in 2021

Has anyone ever applied for one of the specialty block grants from the USDA? I'm just wondering how hard it is to get accepted. The application process won't start again until next year, but I'd like to be prepared as much as possible before then.

I haven't applied for one of those grants before, but just looking at their decision tree, it seems like you'd probably stand the best chance if you apply for the Farmers Market Promotion Program. It won't require you to work with a college or nonprofit organization.
