Baby chicks from Tractor Supply

It's that time of year... the time my children beg to go to our local Tractor Supply store. They have their baby chick's for sale now. Anyone bought any from a store like this?

I've bought chicks from Tractor Supply and from the local feed store with no problems. At least you can look at the batch of chicks to see if they appear healthy. They don't have as many choices of breeds as you can get buying direct from a hatchery, but if they have the breeds you're looking for, and they appear healthy, they should be fine.

We have bought chicks from a local store too. They have always been fine. Like Rich said, you can see them before you buy them. You get to pick which ones you want here in our stores.

We have bought the baby chicks from the local store too. The kids still like to go to see them every year. It's too cute, you hear their little peeps.

Absolutely and they were great. We were thinking of going to get more this year. We haven't yet but might this week. Do you have other chickens? Are you set up to have them?
