Beef stew

I am trying my hand at some beef stew this weekend. I've never tried making it before. It's going to be in the high 30s this weekend so it will be a great weekend for it.

What vegetables do you add to yours?

I bet your stew will turn out great, @Roo4! I'm not as handy in the kitchen as my wife is, but beef stew is one thing I can handle that everyone likes. I add the traditional vegetables like carrots and potatoes, but I also add green peppers, onions, and mushrooms to make it a little different.

My husband won't eat carrots, so I put potatoes, peas, and tomatoes in my stew. I don't think that cooked carrots have much of a taste, but my husband objects to their texture for some reason. I guess we all have our preferences when it comes to food, so I work with it.
