Beginner mistakes

Have you noticed any common mistakes that beginners make when acquiring farm equipment? Farming runs in my family so the equipment wasn't new to me. I made the mistake of buying the same machinery my parents used without giving much thought about whether I really needed it just then.

I've seen people buy something based on the name brand alone. To be honest, I've fallen into that trap as well a time or two.

I guess making mistakes is normal especially if you are new to farming. I think it is fine as we are all learning through the mistakes we made. I am pretty forgetful and some of the routines I might just forget to do it. Better have some organised notes.

Today there lot more chose from compare back 60+ years ago,one needs to do there home work.
Old say..."Parts don't cost that much it's the down time that does"
